Maresca In the 5:2 Diet and You-Scientifically Backed, Hasic discusses such things as the benefits of intermittent fasting, strength training,the importance of blood work, exercise, stress reduction and many other items too numerous to mention in a finite review.Visiting a physician during dieting is important to get a blood workup on inflammation, as expressed in the white cell count and the c-reactive protein. The blood workup is an important tool to use in identifying foods which cause inflammation. Once identified, the harmfulfood choice(s) can be reduced significantly or eliminated completely from the daily diet.The author mentions another helpful device in the weight loss program. This is HIIT which is an exercise program designed with frequent rest periods. The book mentions the importance of having good fats in the diet along with vitamins like D3 and low fat yogurt to manage cravings.The 5:2 Diet... is an excellent supplemental tool for dieters to help manage food cravings and keep the diet on track for a successful continuing program to maintain the correct weight-even under difficult circumstances.The latest 5:2 Diet book is more detailed than the earlier version as indicated in the name which includes the words "scientifically backed",

Most people, including my 20-year old self, believed that starving was a sure way to shed off those extra pounds and give me that perfect shape I desired to have. Luckily, I understood the differences early enough and this book reiterates that point with so much clarity.The benefits of fasting are just immense and splendid. One that I strongly agree with is the balance struck between oxidative stress and the antioxidants in our body to maintain a harmonious internal environment that provides us with the strength not only to exercise but also to maintain a healthy immune system. The scientific evidence is convincing and well-presented. I would recommend this book to anyone looking to prove whether fasting really helps with weight loss. There's a chapter dedicated exclusively to men and one to women; I found this very considerate of the author of the book.
