About the Author Sue Skidmore holds a doctorate from Arizona State University and has taught at the high school, community college, and university levels. She is in her 15th-year as a governing board member for a large, suburban Phoenix school district. Skidmore has four dogs, whom unlike her two, grown daughters, don't talk back.

What you learn is not only the bravado of this young woman but of the lessons learned of a self described "helicopter" mom in faith in herself and both her daughters strength in adversity. A true lesson in strength within one not aware until tested. A must read.
