This amazing true story has something for everyone. You will absolutely take away something from this book that you can utilize at a defining moment in your life. I certainly did. The story paints a beautiful picture of life and how addiction can overtake you but through God you can learn, love and heal. The author reminds us that our recovery and our answers to find peace are within and around us at all times. We just have to listen to what God is trying to tell us. The author’s unique writing style suggests the reader to put pen to paper and analyze past experiences in order to move forward. This process is unique and like nothing I have read before. All of which are very effective and emotionally healing.

Reads well and has it all. Drama, humor, sadness, and mountains of great insight. Great stories. Unique look at the life of an alcoholic and those affected by his disease. Life lessons for all! Good job!

Received it almost immediately and couldn't put it down. I read it cover-to-cover out loud to my wife. This is a very profound, hard-hitting non-fiction book that will really open your eyes and tug at your heart. Very informative with exercises that the reader can implement to take inventory of problems in the reader's life.Every family (or individual) that I know has areas of major problems, including children, addictions, financial, marriage, employment, etc. Many have problems in multiple areas that cause major heartache.This is an absolute read for everyone, in my opinion. It answered a number of questions I had and it opened (or tore at) my heart.
