About the Author Katie Muhtaris has enjoyed teaching and learning with her students in the Chicago Public School system for the last eight years. She is Nationally Board Certified as a Middle Childhood Generalist and holds a Master's Degree in Teacher Leadership. In addition to her devotion to her students, Katie also leads staff development in person around the country and digitally around the globe on Inquiry-based learning, technology integration, and reading comprehension strategies. Katie is the author of the blog Inquiry Live in the Classroom where she writes about her day-to-day teaching practices and seeks to connect with educators around the world.Kristin Ziemke has been teaching and learning from children in both urban and suburban schools for the past 13 years. Gonna do ALL THE THINGS.The focus is on using technology to empower kids as creators, build community, and facilitate reflection. When so much of the available advice online is mostly about using technology to help kids consume media, I needed the ideas in this book desperately.I want to shove this in the hands of all the teachers at my school who hog the iPad cart and only use it for their students to go on Raz Kids and Xtra Math.

By Amazon Customer This book is the perfect companion to the author's first book, Connecting Comprehension and Technology. Amplify is a concise guide to integrating digital teaching in the K-6 classroom. The book is an easy read with concrete examples of "what to do and how to do it". I love the 3 things to do tomorrow at the end of each chapter. There are also QR codes linked to examples of the authors demonstrating concepts from the book. If you can only afford one tech integration book this year, this is the one to buy!
