Quite honestly, I'm going to have to read this one again, b/c I read it during the Nightmare Travel Tragedy of 2015, and I just don't think my tired brain did it justice. This book was JAM PACKED with action and adventure, redemption, and of course beautiful love. I LOVED the horrifically selfish and hedonistic portrayal of the gods and goddesses... I am not actually that well versed in mythology of any kind, but I could totally see them behaving in this manner. While Nix has always been the big bad of this series (and in my opinion, one of the worst villains I've ever read), this book showed that he was just one of many who looked at Ivy's power and saw world domination and unlimited power. I kind of liked that. It prevented them from mounting any kind of real opposing front to the mountain, since they were all really out for themselves in some way.ALL of the evil that you've hated throughout this series gets their just rewards...it's sooooo satisfying. I think I'm going to have a hard time writing this review without having to spoiler the whole thing.Ivy is an intriguing heroine. She's unlike many of the heroines I love to read, and sometimes I feel conflicted in that way. B/C part of me really appreciates that she's not as strong and obviously badass as say Eden and Stella...it makes her unique and in some ways more relatable. On the other hand, I spent some of my reading time wanting to smack her for not using her resources where she could, and not automatically seeing the things that I, as a reader, could see so well. So I guess I will always remain on the fence with her. But even so, I LOVED how she grew even just in this book. And while there was still a *tiny* bit of wishy-washiness wrt her relationship with Ryder, it really didn't last too long and then they were complementing each other throughout the rest of the book.I almost had moments where I missed some of the secondary characters that I'd grown to love, but Ms. Higginson manages to fit them in there perfectly so that you get enough to satisfy you.The ending was PERFECTION. Seriously. Not just the climax, but the resolution. I won't say more, obviously, but I was soooo ridiculously satisfied with the way everything turned out, and I LOVED the bit of epilogueness we got in the last chapter. It was the perfect amount to allow me to breath and enjoy after so much build up.Definitely my fave book in the series. It just had everything I wanted. I can't wait to read it again when I'm rested and can really enjoy it and soak it in.

It was everything I had hoped it would be, and more. One of the huge pluses for me was that Ryder and Ivy were reunited and the very beginning of the book, and they stayed united. I love to see the main characters support each other as they learn and grow, and that is exactly what Ryder and Ivy did.The Heart gets a little more into the Greek Mythology than the other books in the series, and normally I would not be interested in that, but it flowed perfectly with the story and never got boring. In fact, I finished the entire book in two sittings. I could not put it down.Ivy and Ryder's story is not without heartache and pain, but it also includes strength and tremendous growth as they set things in place to free Ivy from Nix. As everything falls together it becomes clear that things aren't always what they seem, and you can't trust everyone (or in this case anyone).

I was anxiously waiting for this book to come out because I was so excited to find out what happens to Ivy.This book picks up a year later with Ivy on her island. On a whim, she returns to Omaha to find Ryder. Going home wasn't as easy as she expected and Ivy stumbles upon more problems. While trying to solve her problems, she is getting more powerful by the day and she is figuring out what she can really do with them. Ivy and Ryder have many adventures in the final book of the Siren series. Read this book to see how it all ends!I really like the twists and turns this book took. It kept me wondering what would happen next. Most of the time I can guess what will happen but in this book there was a few things I didn't see coming.I highly recommend reading this book if you read the first two books. It wraps up the series well and I LOVED the ending.
