By Hunter Cole Fighting Fiercely is a book about the extraordinary journey of Michelle Johnson’s continuing battle with endometriosis. I found her personal story very engaging and inspiring. Her story tells people the extreme problems endometriosis causes and how it interferes with one’s ability to live a normal life. Despite her battles with endometriosis, she is a survivor and lives a very productive life. Michelle Johnson’s story also shows how women with endometriosis need to do their own research and not just believe what they are told. Women with endometriosis continually face life altering medical decisions. The book also educates people about endometriosis and lists resources to find more information. Fighting Fiercely is a must read for anyone with endometriosis or anyone who knows anyone with endometriosis. Although 1 in 10 women have endometriosis, few people know what it is. This book is a must read for everyone.

Everyone's journey through endo h*** is different but the one thing her and I have in common is the determination in the midst to no longer let endo control our lives. "I was determined not to be held hostage by this aggravating cycle of experimental treatments, followed by indefinite periods of hurrying up to wait. Being patient didn't mean being still; I had a life to live."
