I love how the author wove in the aspects of the tale but fleshed out the story with depth and insight. Thea is a strong heroin but she is challenged at every turn. This is a romance at heart, but it is also so much more. There is court intrigue, love won and lost, and of course a Grimm curse. I felt transported into the world. You will be rooting for Thea to get her happily ever after, and Casimer will steal your heart. I didn't expect the end. I don't want to have any spoilers, but WOW! I want the next book yesterday! Not that the end of this book isn't satisfying, it is, but I want the story to continue.

Lisa Manifold breathes life and passion into her characters, adding clever twists and intrigue to the tale of the eldest princess. The story blends romance, magic, and a princess scorned with court intrigue, plot twists and the complexity of a curse that culminates in a surprise ending.Loved the ending and am eager to read the next book in the series!

The characters are interesting and believable and the story unwinds at the perfect pace. This is unlike any book or story I've read before and I'm hoping the author is going to follow up with a series. I highly recommend this book (and this author!!).
