By Anonymous I don't mean to be long-winded and I don't write a review on something unless it has GREAT value, but this book is worth my time and effort. I followed the guidance given in this book almost to the tee (I did cheat a little-and I mean a little) for 3 months. The results were beyond what I had expected. I figured I would lose a few pounds but would have to sacrifice by being hungry all of the time and by missing my favorite foods. I found both of these assumptions to be surprisingly false. I was never hungry. In fact, I had to remind myself to eat because I would pass my normal eating times by as much as an hour or so before realizing that I hadn't eaten yet. And, once I was on the right path, following the program, I didn't miss anything really. I lost cravings that I have had for ages. In fact, certain "favorite" foods didn't taste all that good after eating the way described in the book. I sometimes did not feel all that great after "cheating" because my body was not used to the unhealthy food I had always eaten.The biggest surprise was what happened to me physiologically, medically. After just three months, I lost 45 pounds, dropped my A1C number from 6.5 to 5.3 (yes...5.3--that number is not even considered as diabetic!!), decreased my diabetes meds to 1/2 the dosage I had taken for 4 years, increased my good cholesterol to almost a normal level and reduced my blood pressure medication to 1/3 of what I had been taking for 3 years. I couldn't be more thrilled with the results thus far. I cannot wait to see what they are in three more months when I go back to the doctor's office!I would recommend this book to everyone; from those just looking to make a healthy (or healthier) change in their lives to those who NEED to make a healthy (or healthier) change in their lives (or the lives of their loved ones). My great appreciation goes out to the author for taking his time to share his wisdom, knowledge and experience in such a way that anyone who can read can understand what is being conveyed. I wish you great results when you begin implementing these healthy changes into your lives and the lives of your loves ones.

I personally have been following this plan for good health and have experienced very positive results. My blood pressure has gone down and my iron counts are back up to normal. They had gone exceedingly low. I also was experiencing heart palpitations daily and they have subsided. I am very happy that I was able to implement what I read and have had success. I turned 50 this past year and felt it was time to focus on me and my health for a change.

The author’s thoughts on nutrition and health are timeless and priceless. The wellness strategies in this book are best described as practical, effective, and oriented around the best balance of short-term and long-term quality of life. Definitely worth a read, whether you are trying to loose weight, facing health issues, or just want to live a better life.
