Readers... This weight loss program is simply the best there is. I have lost and gained weight my entire life. It was always very easy to gain weight and very difficult to lose it again. I can't believe how quickly I lost weight and how different it was from previous times I have lost weight. I have always been irritable, hungry and miserable while losing weight before. On Robin's program I felt great, better than I ever have! It was almost too good to be true. No matter how hard I worked I could never lose my "muffin top", now, it is gone! I lost 30 pounds total and so far, I have kept it off! I really think my battle with my weight is over. It used to be so hard and now it is just easy. I wish I had the knowledge and tools in this book 20 years ago. Thank you Robin. Stacey M. I loved it so much, I read it in 2 days. Since I moved, I have wanted to do the protocol again, and couldn't find my print out. I am so happy to have it digitally now! Skinny Chick is amazing! So straightforward and eye opening. Thank you for putting your expertise and experience in one place. The 90/10 rule has really helped me stay on track, while living a fun, social life. I am so happy the Skinny Chick protein will be available on amazon.com. Since moving away from Denver, I have tried at least 20 protein powders and none are as delicious and low carb as yours. I have tried many diets and Robin's is by far the easiest and most effective. There are no pills or shots, just nutrition and science. On the protocol, I wasn't hungry and after the first few days of adjusting, I felt great and had more energy than normal. The Skinny Chick shakes really fill you up and are delicious! I travel a lot, so they're the perfect thing to have with me on the road. The protocol really helped me change my relationship with food as well as not gain weight every time I travel. All I can say is, this is great! It explains everything very well from carbohydrates, sugar, glucose, protein etc as in everything that I need to know. It has also example of how to start this diet, what to eat on breakfast, lunch, dinner and for snacks and put the nutritional facts after. I really appreciate this book and most especially I salute the author for doing such a great job. I understand now how and what to eat, which is healthy or not and what I can get after taking it. I will be following the diet as soon as possible. Highly recommended. We can get the skinny chicks we wanted after understanding this book.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Frustrated and then not frustrated..then Holy Cow did I lose weight!! By Michelle I would probably have given this book a higher review;however, the products she tells you to get, like her skinny chick thermo appetite suppressants and whey protein simply aren't there to purchase even though she says Amazon carries them. I even tried her http://skinnychickweightloss.com/ site and although the web page comes up, when you put in your email and try to access the elements on it(like the food journal) you get a "sorry what you are looking for is not here. I was all pumped up and ready to try this diet until I tried to access her site; I may edit this review if I try the diet but right now I am completely frustrated just trying to acquire the elements for the diet and my "pumped-up- nis" has declined drastically. She does give good mental visuals for how the body works and I appreciated that.I changed my review from 3 stars to 4 stars(when I get a chance to actually try the diet, it may go higher) because the author emailed me the day of my review and explained the problems she has been having with both her web page and her products. I am truly sorry it took me so long to edit this review but I am in a situation where I only have access to the internet for a few hours a day and life and other duties got in the way. The mere fact that she took the time to email me and offer to send me all of the items I could have downloaded off her web page speaks volumes about her commitment to, and her belief in, her system. From her emails I really believe in her desire to help others become happier, healthier individuals.I don't know if her protocol will do all she claims but I am willing to give it a try. I will, once again, edit this review if I feel it is needed(after I try her eating plan). So here I am editing my review again after trying Ms. Webb's eating plan. First let me give you a little info about me so you will understand how amazingly effective this plan was for me; I am 59 and have been "watching my wieght" all my adult life and still, as I aged, the pounds crept up; I have always been a very slow loser(1-2 pounds a week) even when I was very strict with myself so it became harder to stay on a diet when seeing almost no results for all my efforts. I also had a gastric problem which troubled me with increasing regularity and when I read how Ms. Webb had "cured" herself through food I had a "lightbulb" moment and thought, maybe this will work for me too. I have always eaten a lot of processed foods(sweets mainly) and thought that the "bad bacteria" in my gut had probably overrun the "good, healthy bacteria", so I went into the diet plan with the idea of using it as a medical treatment of sorts.So....the results: I lost 15-17pounds(I have an old scale and the amount changes from minute to minute) in the 3 weeks I was on the protocol and my gastric trouble has virtually disappeared!!! To say I was pleased with the results is an understatement of gigantic proportions(even though I was never out of the healthy BMI range, I seemed stuck on the higher end of my healthy weight range before the protocol). I did the protocol in July and the weight stayed off as long as I ate in a sensible manner; however, I became a addicted to nuts (I replaced the sweets I use to eat with fresh nuts) and have regained 5 pounds but that is my mistake and takes nothing away from the diets effectiveness. I am restarting a modifed protocol to lose the weight I reacquired and expect the same success.Although it is a strict eating protocol, it is easier to stay focused when you are seeing such wonderful results. The longer I restricted my carb intake the less I craved them so the diet was not too hard to maintain after the first few days. Please pay attention to Ms. Webb's admonitions about taking the suppliments and about not overindulging in carbs when you come off the protocol(I ate 1/2 a danish and was very sorry) she is only trying to save you some grief. Now for the Skinny Chick products I tried: I was very happy with the Skinny Chick Thermo--it did cut my appitite and give me energy. I have a very sensitive system(I guess that's the right way to phrase it) and Thermo was strong enough for me that I found I could not take it after 11 in the morning if I wanted to sleep at my regular time; however it never made me feel jittery. I think the author warns against taking it after 3 p.m. but that was too late in the day for me.I tried both the vanilla and chocolate shakes(preferred vanilla) and they were both good. I had never tried a protein shake before and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. In the intrest of full disclosure, I have tried 2 other(cheaper) brands since then and one was grainy and did not want to disolve(even in the blender) although it tasted alright, and the other one made me sick and I returned it(my sensitive system at work again). This eating plan really works. If you want to lose weight faster than you thought possible, give this a try...you don't have anything to lose(except the extra bit of "you" you don't want anyway) and maybe healthier as a result.

Bray If you are looking for a precise & easy read to start looking and feeling better, look no further. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It is one of the few books that actually allows you to eat A LOT of food and not only bars, shakes, etc. and starve yourself. You just have to re-train your mind a bit to reach for the right food. However, after only a short time on this meal plan (I am calling it a meal plan and not a 'diet' on purpose) my body started to crave yummy, healthy snacks and entrees and I have already lost 12 pounds. The book highlights all the 'need to know' areas of living a healthy lifestyle. We all know that our health is (or should be) our greatest wealth but very few of us really apply that quote day in and day out. Skinny Chick is a great reference to bring you back on track, advising on all of the healthy foods out there, including recipes (which are delicious) as well as nutritional supplements should you choose to incorporate them into your daily lifestyle. I highly recommend this book.

SWALLOWED WHOLE

FRANK

MY BROTHER JOE WAS ALREADY more than six feet underground when one of our hometown’s most famous landmarks fell through a giant hole in the earth. It was early Saturday afternoon. Just about all of Bayport had been planning to attend a street fair on the other side of town, but last week’s disappearance of a couple of Bayport High School kids had put a stop to that. Instead most of the townspeople were gathered on the lawn of the square in front of city hall, waiting for Deputy Hixson to start a press conference. With our esteemed—and estimably grumpy—chief of police, Olaf, on vacation, the job of leading the investigation had fallen to his young protégé. But since Deputy Hixson’s daughter, Layla, happened to be one of the missing kids, he had a lot more at stake than just impressing his boss. I felt bad for Deputy Hixson. He’s a good cop. He’s also a lot nicer than Chief Olaf when Joe and I interfere with a police investigation, which kind of happens a lot. As Bayport’s foremost amateur detectives, Joe and I have a special knack for solving crimes. It isn’t our fault that a couple of teenagers happen to be better at it than the local police. We weren’t officially looking into the missing kids, but Joe was friends with Layla, and I think he liked her as more than a friend, too, so we were keeping a close eye on things. Joe wasn’t at the press conference, though; he was under it! He was helping Urbex—the local urban explorers club—map some of the old tunnels hidden under Bayport, the same tunnels that we had helped discover on another case. Police press conferences were usually pretty dull, anyway, so we didn’t think he’d be missing much. But I wasn’t just at the press conference to investigate. I was also there as a photographer. A camera can be one of a detective’s most important tools, and I was intent on learning my way around my new digital SLR. “Make sure to get some shots of Hixson’s wife, too, Hardy,” a sweet voice said not so sweetly behind me. “It would be great if you could get her crying while he’s talking. The readers really eat up that emotional stuff.” I turned around to find Charlene Vale scribbling in the little notebook she carried everywhere. Charlene was the news blogger for our high school’s newspaper . . . and, to be honest, she was another reason I was at the press conference. She was supersmart and supercute and I kind of had a little—okay, maybe not so little—crush on her. She wasn’t exactly warm and cuddly, though. Charlene took being an investigative reporter seriously, which I totally respected, even if it meant she was pretty intense sometimes. When I’d learned she was looking for a photojournalist to help document her stories, I joined the paper as a photographer. “Once the press conference starts, I’ll open up the aperture and use a longer lens. That will make the deputy in focus in the foreground with Delia slightly blurred behind him,” I told her. Charlene didn’t look impressed. “I don’t care if you draw a picture with crayons as long as you get the shot.” “Um, okay,” I said, feeling myself blush. Sometimes I forget that not everybody gets as excited about technology as I do. “Pretty big turnout,” Charlene observed, thankfully changing the topic. “This disappearance is a big story. I’d love to be able to outscoop the Bugle on this one.” The Bugle was Bayport’s daily newspaper, and it usually drew a lot more readers than our high school’s student-run website. Not always, though. Charlene had already beaten the Bugle to the punch on a couple other big headlines this year. And this was a big story. Hundreds of people had come out to see what the deputy had to say—even some of the town’s homeless population. I noticed a guy in his fifties, who everyone called Sal, pushing a shopping cart past the courthouse steps. “You know, I tried to interview him once for a story on Bayport’s homeless population,” Charlene said, pointing to Sal. “He wrote ‘no comment’ on a piece of paper and walked away.” “I guess no one told you he was mute, huh?” I chuckled. Sal had been a fixture around Bayport for as long as I could remember. I’d always wondered what his story was, but since he never spoke out loud, I’d never been able to ask him. I’d sometimes see him mouthing things excitedly, only no sound ever came out. “I hear Delia Hixson is a member of the Mayflower Society,” Charlene said as Sal pushed his cart past where Layla’s mom was standing, waiting for her husband to address the crowd. “Don’t you have to be a descendant of one of the original pilgrims who sailed on the Mayflower to be a member of the Mayflower Society?” I asked. The history nerd in me got tingles. I hadn’t realized any Bayport residents were related to some of the colonies’ first settlers way back in 1620. Charlene nodded. “I found out while I was doing background for this story. They’ve been Bayport bigwigs since Colonial times, living around here since before Bayport was Bayport. Longer than that guy even,” she said, pointing over her shoulder to the large bronze statue of the Colonial navy officer that stood watch over the other end of the town square. “You mean the Admiral?” I asked, taking in the statue of Admiral James T. Bryant, Revolutionary War hero of the seas and one of our town’s foremost founding fathers. “Did you know that Admiral Bryant’s fleet of transatlantic merchant ships helped turn Bayport into a major commercial hub?” I went on. “He was friends with all kinds of important historical figures, like Thomas Jefferson and Ben Franklin. In fact, if things had gone differently, he might have made it into the history books too. He had big plans to turn Bayport into one of the nation’s great port cities, but he disappeared before he had a chance. That’s why Bayport stayed the sleepy little town it is today. The Admiral’s disappearance is one of Bayport’s great mysteries.” She gave me another unimpressed look. “If I ever do a story on the Admiral, I’ll be sure to interview you.” Apparently I wasn’t doing a good job impressing her with my knowledge of photographic technique or local history. “Come to think of it, I can use Admiral Bryant’s disappearance to draw parallels to what happened to Layla and Dan; it will give the story historical context,” she said, nodding to herself and jotting the idea down in her pad. “See if you can get some shots with his statue in the background.” “You got it.” I smiled. Score one for Frank Hardy! “That statue really does kind of freak me out, though.” Charlene shuddered. “I keep thinking he’s going to jump off the pedestal and start chasing me around with that giant fork of his.” It was a spooky statue. The angry-looking, twenty-foot-tall Admiral held a large trident in his right hand as if he were Poseidon, king of the sea. And if the trident—which actually did look a bit like a giant three-pronged fork—wasn’t freaky enough, all you had to do was look at his other hand, which was missing its pinkie and ring fingers from a battle at sea. But that wasn’t the most interesting thing about his left hand. It was holding the coolest-looking book ever to his chest. The book was sealed with a clasp and engraved with all these strange symbols, like spirals, two-headed eagles, and an eye inside a floating pyramid similar to the one on the dollar bill. With his missing fingers and the way he was holding the book, it almost looked like the Admiral was giving the peace sign. There was also a giant bronze skeleton key dangling from a ring on his belt—the key to the city. What the trident and book symbolized, no one really knew for sure. “According to legend, Admiral Bryant’s ghost still haunts the old graveyard across town. It’s just waiting for his body to be returned to the empty spot in his family tomb alongside his wife,” I shared. “The Admiral’s Tomb, huh?” Charlene asked. “That doesn’t make me feel any less freaked out by the statue.” I started thinking about the Admiral’s mysterious disappearance as Deputy Hixson approached the microphone. The statue almost seemed to be watching the press conference from the other end of the square. It really did give the whole scene a sinister vibe. “Thank you all for coming,” Deputy Hixson said. I turned my attention, and my camera, back to the courthouse steps, where he was standing. “As you all know by now, two Bayport High students went missing last week: Councilman Saltz’s son Daniel and my own daughter, Layla.” Deputy Hixson had to pause to collect himself. I could see the pain on his face, and my heart went out to him. I knew firsthand how hard it was to have to investigate a family member’s disappearance. “So far, we have been unable to establish a clear connection between the children. They are two grades apart in school, but they don’t seem to have known each other. What we do know is that a suspicious figure in a hood was seen following both students shortly before their disappearances, and we have to consider the possibility that they were both taken against their will.” The crowd reacted with gasps and frightened murmurs. “Please, everyone remain calm,” Deputy Hixson continued. “I can assure you that the Bayport PD has devoted every available resource to finding them. We ask that you remain vigilant but calm and continue to go about your lives as normal.” As the deputy spoke, I could hear a rumbling sound in the distance that I figured was probably just thunder. It wasn’t until I felt a vibrating sensation in my feet that I realized the sound wasn’t coming from the sky; it was coming from below. “There is no, uh, need, uh . . . ,” the deputy started to stammer midsentence. As the rumbling grew more intense, people looked around in confusion. “. . . panic.” Deputy Hixson had barely gotten the final word out when . . . BOOM! It felt like an earthquake and an explosion all at once. The ground rocked under our feet, and a huge cloud of dust erupted from the other end of the town square as the earth collapsed and swallowed the Admiral’s statue whole.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Well worth your time By G. Grant The title says it all. It's great advice on simplifying your kitchen or, even better, outfitting a minimalist kitchen to begin with. Having been keeping a home for over 40 years (Yikes! How did that happen?), I wish I'd had this little volume at the outset. But even now, it helps me look at what I have in terms of both equipment and ingredients and showing the many opportunities to scale back. Beside outfitting your kitchen, I love the concept of "un-recipes" giving you great starting points and/or guidelines, but leaving some choices up to the individual. These recipes may be customized in so many ways, changing out the protein, vegetables or starch and varying the spices. There is a LOT of valuable information packed into a small amount of space. The authors wrap up with this quote: "If you only take away one idea from this booklet, we would like it to be this:making delicious food can be simple, easy, and fun." They succeeded in that I did come away with that idea, but also so much more. If, like me, you are overwhelmed by the number of recipes that show up on Facebook, Pinterest...everywhere, read this booklet and rediscover the simple joy ofcreating, serving and eating real, honest, simple food."I received an free advance copy of this book in exchange for an honest review." The thoughts expressed are entirely my own. gg

What I love about the book is its focus and simplicity. After years of building a supply of dishes, gadgets, utensils…etc, it became too much. Having too much and be too much on a person. Thus, I started down the path to minimalize every area of my life. The kitchen seemed a good place to start. I read Simple Kitchen as a preview reader and it was a great reminder to keep things simple. This is a great book for those who want to minimalize, those who are starting out and those who have to cook but only want the bare necessities. It is a fast and easy read, also easy to incorporate into your life. Well worth your time and effort to read. I will recommend this book to family and friends.

List of vegetables and how to cook them.Like the mixtures of making your own fresh salad dressing. How to make simple breakfast and desserts. No pictures and no nutritional information.

Following the release of their international best-seller, Exo-Vaticana, Thomas Horn and Cris Putnam were inundated with requests from around the world to be interviewed on radio, television, and in print media. What they discovered sent shockwaves through Christianity concerning the Vatican s advanced telescope, which sits on top of Mt. Graham in Arizona (USA) where the Jesuits admit they are monitoring something approaching the earth. After the author s initial report was published in Exo-Vaticana, the pope s top astronomer took to the airwaves and on the Vatican Observatory website to try and explain the role that he and other church astronomers are playing with regards to emerging ET Friendly theology, their association with the LUCIFER device at Mt. Graham, and their developing doctrines concerning extraterrestrial life and the impact it may have on planet Earth s religions; Christianity in particular.

Now, armed with fresh information from the native peoples (that failed before a federal appeals court to stop the construction of the Vatican s observatory on one of their four holiest mountains), the authors set out with cameras and field investigators to unearth their most astonishing discovery yet. The mountain is said to be a portal, a gateway to another dimension. And, as the Vatican knows and the authors uncovered, it is not the only one.

NOW, FOR THE FIRST TIME, ON THE PATH OF THE IMMORTALS REVEALS...*Unveiled! What Mt. Graham really is, and why NASA and the Vatican are there*Disclosed! What the Bible says about gateways and the beings that wait behind them*Discovered! Scientific evidence of, and signals from, life beneath the surface of the earth*Found! The ancient stargates and their association with vortex manifestations*Revealed! The role of CERN s Large Hadron Collider and its search for a portal*Uncovered! Gobekli tepe, Baalbek, and the secrets of the coming immortals*Deciphered! The worldwide grid that ties them all together*Exposed! The occult s countdown calendar for the return of their gods *Unearthed! Giants, cryptids, and their mysterious connection with gates

In On the Path of the Immortals, internationally acclaimed, investigative authors Thomas Horn and Cris Putnam continue the greatest investigation of our time by exposing the facts kept hidden from the public by elitists and intellectuals who are planning mankind s assimilation under a coming savior, one whom the prophet Daniel foresaw as an alien god.

Review The Large Hadron Collider could open a doorway to an extra dimension and out of this door might come something, or we might send something through it. --Sergio Bertolucci, Director for Research and Scientific Computing at CERNThe idea of multiple universes is more than a fantastic invention and deserves to be taken seriously. --Aurelien Barrau, French particle physicist at the CERN

They went into great detail about the history of the "Immortals". Learned quite a lot about history of unusual beings and the worship built up around them. Worth the money.

44 of 49 people found the following review helpful. On the Path of the Immortals By writealot A heavy, heavy book...had to refer to an extensive dictionary for some meaning of words! Yet, it is written so that I could understand the scientific implications. In all honesty...everyone needs to read this, but make sure your Bible is right beside you!

66 of 77 people found the following review helpful. We will spend $20 to spend two hours suspending our disbelief... By George F Brewer "On the Path of the Immortals" will not be everyone's cup of tea. Considering we will spend $20 to spend two hours suspending disbelief in a darkened room while pictures flicker on the wall, this book has a bit more substance. It is well researched. That is to say some will denounce it as drivel without bothering to read it, or worse, not understand as they have been thoroughly brainwashed into unreasoning brutes. It does get repetitious at the end, from my perspective, having read both of Putnam and Horn's previous two collaborations, and Horn's "Zenith 2016", a "revision and expansion" of "Apollyon Rising 2012".Worth the time and effort? Yes, but take your time. It's a lot to wrap your head around.

The stories were very creative and well done, but I was a little too quick to remember the urban legends and that spoiled a few for me. Still, all in all, a good showing of horror shorts.

Little Horrors By Amazon Customer Each story is short-----and not so sweet.I enjoyed reading them, but I most certainly don't recommend them to younger readers.Oh, and don't take them with you for some light bed time reading either. You may wake up screaming!
