I felt like I was listening to a close friend who has been through something that I could learn from and has a great sense of humor in describing his ordeal of discovery and ability of taking back control of what he could and what he couldn't...how to give it to God.This book, even though it mainly describes a Biblical approach to overcoming one form of addiction, I feel it can be applied to many other addictions just as well, using the same principles. Even if you don't have a particular addiction to battle this book is a great help in maintaining a good path thathelps prevent little lies and excuses from ever getting a toehold in your life to begin with.Thank you for the book, Adam Baker. It is packed full of good info that was easy enough for even my 3rd grader to read with no problem. The writer does an excellent job of telling the history of space travel and what we hope to accomplish in the future and does it in an easy to read and way that actually kept my attention. To be honest with you I don't see any colonization of MARS happening in my lifetime but maybe in my grandchildren or great grandchildren's lives...anything is possible. Very informative book. Impressive printing job and great pictures too. Sample received for review.

Enormous obstacles would have to be overcome, obstacles that (for now) we have no idea how to fully address. But when have we ever stopped considering anything just because it is hard? As JF Kennedy so beautifully stated when we were about to embark to the moon :" We choose to go to the Moon! … We choose to go to the Moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard; because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one we intend to win".So why exactly would we want to go to Mars?1: To create a back-up location for humanity2: To search for additional resources3: Because it is hard and we like a challenge!This book does a wonderful job of explaining the history of our interest about and travel into space. It discusses in clear and concise language how we got to where we are now, what we hope to achieve in the future and how to possibly solve the challenges that are awaiting us should we decide to colonize on Mars. Reading this book creates an almost immeasurable excitement about the future of space travel and life on Mars. A desire to want to be part of it, to be around long enough to see it come to fruition.Will it happen in our life time? Unfortunately I doubt I will be around to see it happen, but I am hopeful my children will see the very beginnings of it. Just to be part of the dream though is exciting and the kind of stuff that conversations and debates are made of.Regardless, I am convinced that one day we will have a thriving colony on Mars. I am interested in pretty much anything having to do with space - and with so much action on Mars lately, I think this book came along at just the right time for me!This book may be small - but it is full of SO much information on Mars. Everything is in here from what the planet's atmosphere is like, to what a person might expect to encounter being on the planet without a space suit, to the concept of building a colony on Mars. It even discusses the possibilities that farming on Mars could bring. How cool is that? Back when I was a kid these ideas were something out of SciFi movies - and now we are discussing REALLY making a one way mission to there?? Insane!I love that this book really spells out all of the history of how the interest in a mission to Mars came about. There is so much that we already know, but there is so much more than can be learned. Things that can ONLY be learned actually being there. The Mars Rover was a huge step for us!Excellent little book about Mars! I would definitely recommend it!Sample provided for review purposes

This book is a waste of money By Amazon Customer I thought this book would have recipes for home made skin care and health remedies, but there were very few at all. The author did have lists of plants with medicinal and cosmetic benefits, but did not indicate what form these plants were available in -- powders? liquids? solids? oils?. Well, now that I know what plants I could use- how do I put ingredients together. The cover shows soap and lotion. There were no recipes to actually make these. This book is a waste of money.

I never thought I would have to fight to love my own child. Postpartum depression was just a phrase to me before I had my second son, Will. I never understood how the birth of a healthy, beautiful baby could turn a life upside down until it happened to me. For months I struggled through sleepless nights and endless days, just trying to put myself together, to regain some semblance of the woman that I had been. I didn't plan on going crazy, but in a flurry of panic I flew across the country, left my two kids with my parents, and checked myself into the hospital. In trying to make sense of what was happening to me, I searched for books or support groups concerning Latter Day Saint (LDS) or Christian women who had experienced postpartum disorders. After all, we are a unique group. We are commanded to be virtuous women and to multiply and replenish the earth. I think this can translate into feeling that we have to do and be everything and we have to do it by ourselves. I found plenty of self-help books written by professionals and a few memoirs of celebrities, but very little literature sharing personal experiences of healing. Since every case of PPD is different, this left me feeling even more alone in my struggle. I was not a celebrity, just an ordinary woman hiding from the stigma of mental illness and hoping and praying that I would be well again.

Her story brought out the vulnerability we can all experience in life. It was a beautiful reminder of less judging and more loving. We never know what trials another is dealing with. Faith in God pulled her through the pain and I know it can do the same for all of us, no matter the trial.

But had a baby last year and I had a lot of the same feelings and thoughts and still do. I am doing counseling and on few different medications. This book gives you hope and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It's a easy read and I read it in less than a day!

By Tim F I took a chance on this book and I will be forever grateful that I did.I thought it might be a little cheesy at first, as the idea of something "MAGICAL" seems like something I've outgrown. After a few pages, though, I was hooked. You will NEVER read another book like this one. Period.This book reads like a practical, how-to guide on how to make your life more and more awesome. It should be required reading for living life. I've read TONS of personal development resources, and this book stands apart. You owe it to yourself to learn these principles. If you can't afford to buy it then find a bookstore that has this book, stand there and read it in the aisles. I will be giving copies to every person I care about.

I'm glad I did!It's a wonderful gift when a master magician + super-success mentor shares his step-by-step plan for leading a powerful life.So many books that offer "abundance" are full of mumbo jumbo and not magic. Not this one. The Most Magical Secret helps you move from hopingto actually having the life you've always dreamed about. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

She reads and reads and reads!! The book also addresses issues such as bullying etc so there is a message in them.If you are looking for something that will foster their love for reading, this may be a good option! My daughter loves mind-craft so this as been a natural fit for us.We bought kindle version
