Prevent Diabetes and Obesity: Control sugar cravings By George Diabetes and Obesity have come up as the two major and very common diseases in recent times. It is ironical to know that the biggest cause is our lifestyle and not other factors. Excessive sugar intake is one of the main reason for this. The book makes an efforts to help people to control the sugar cravings. The book presents a 4 week action plan on how to cure the sugar craving control. The last two chapters focus on Indian healing methods which are Yoga and meditation. Both has been presented to a develop a basic understanding. I would like to see a detailed analysis of Yoga Postures and specific meditation techniques in the next book which can be used for sugar detox.

By Sollie Nicholas We all know that over consumption of anything is bad. I love sweets and I must admit I'm guilty of consuming sugar more than normal. In this book, the author written a simple and easy procedure to help keep sugar away from our lives. Even though we can't really avoid sugar, we have to observe the use of it in proper quantity and proper intervals. The author suggested a 4-week action plan to fight the cravings for sweets or reduce the use of sugar. The book is filled with important health information that we can practice on our daily lives, primarily in the purpose of sugar detoxification. One of them is to get enough sleep and ideally sleep for 6 hours every day. That we should also practice 30-minute exercise daily which is really a challenge for me for I am lazy doing exercises. But I think I should practice these things if I really want to be healthy.And as the author said, addiction is not easy to get rid of. It really takes time, patience and effort. Hoping that I could find all these virtues so that I can do the practices in this book.

And many other things, as well—but sugar is insidious- because it is in everything, and because our body actually does need… SOME sugar. Years ago, I did a candida protocol- part of which entails cutting out all sugars from the diet. This starves the yeast, which feeds and thrives on sugar. Btw- most people have yeast-candida overgrowth, so eliminating or at least severely cutting back on sugar can only be healthy and beneficial. Anyway- this book is a good guide if you want or need to go cold turkey and remove all added sugars from your diet at once. The author offers some beneficial supports and insights. I would like to see more natural information- such as the use of L glutamine to help curb sugar cravings, as well as natural herbs etc. but the author does provide some good ayurvedic- natural protocols that will help you create a healthier diet and lifestyle.
