About the Author
James Dean’s art has sold in more than ninety galleries and shops across the United States. He has devoted his paintings to Pete the Cat for fifteen years and has turned his natural love for cats into his life’s work. James published his first adult book, The Misadventures of Pete the Cat, a history of his artwork, in 2006. He illustrated his first self-published children’s book, Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes, in 2008, and the follow-up book, Pete the Cat: Rocking in My School Shoes, in 2011. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I couldn't pass it up for the price. This was purchased for our son for Christmas to add to his book collection, however, I decided to read it today to see what it's about.It's an adorable little book with a good message. No matter what you do, it's more fun when you have your friends. It also shows team work as the friends want to help finish with a chore so that they are all free to play together. The book comes with stickers as well, but our son is still a little young for them.I am happy with this purchase. You can't beat the price and it was a nice and easy story to read. I would definitely recommend it to people looking to add to their children's collection!
2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. This isn't your usual cool Pete By Doc B This isn't the my buttons or cool white shoes that my children were first introduced to by Eric Litwin. The James Dean (only, he illustrated the others) books are a little bland and not as groovy as the other books by Eric Litwin.

Not very cleverly written or funny in my opinion. My three year old, who loves Pete the cat, doesn't care for it either.
