1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Fairy Tales still exist -- with a twist. By RickCNB I discovered this author on Twitter. She seemed genuinely nice, so I looked a little deeper. This modern fairy tale seemed different and fun, a nice change of pace, so I bought the ebook and downloaded it for reading "eventually." I started reading it yesterday, "for a few minutes before bed." Four hours later, I was still reading. I just finished it and can't wait to read more. There is a prequel short story that I must read next.I won't give any spoilers, but it is definitely worth sharing with friends who believe in True Love, or perhaps stopped believing...

It's a mistake, but they decide to give it a go together. Fools Castle has a big castle and Sawyer Ellis is living there together with his stepchildren. He's raising them as his own and he's trying to be a good father. His deceased wife's mother is also living at the castle. Sawyer tries to manage a career as an author while being a single parent. Lily is in Fools Castle to make a match. She has magic and she's there to match Sawyer with his true love.Sophie is dark where Lily is light. They're each other's exact opposites. They do form a friendship though. Lily is such a sweet and vulnerable girl. She has beautiful long hair and she's a character from a fairytale. Sophie is a journalist who's writing about Fools Castle for a blog. There's some attraction between her and Sawyer, but is she long term relationship material?I loved finding out more about both Sophie and Lily. Sophie isn't really sweet, she's self-centered and driven, but somewhere deep down she might possess some kindness after all. Sawyer is struggling and muddling through life and fatherhood. It's time for him to find love, someone who treats him well, so he can leave his sad past behind him a bit, and Lily is there to make it happen with the help of a little bit of magic. I love fairytales, so Four Sides to Every Story immediately appealed to me. Valerie-Anne Baglietto's writing is amazing, she captures moods and atmospheres so well. I loved The Little Book of Lost Hearts, so I already knew I would love Fools Castle and its inhabitants. I was so glad to be able to read more about this wonderful and magical village.Lily is special and I liked her from the beginning. She's a bit strange and otherworldly which makes her even more charming. I liked Sophie as well, mainly because she is so honest about her character. She doesn't let anyone in and doesn't share much. That made me really curious to find out more about her. Sawyer is endearing and I could imagine Lily wanted to fix him. I loved reading about the castle and the children. Everything came together so well and the plot is unpredictable and absolutely amazing. I highly recommend this romantic book, it's a fantastic modern and at the same time old fashioned fairytale.
