I’d like to start my review for Rouge by taking a step back in time to the first book in this trilogy, Relentless. I was six months pregnant, on bed rest and bored out of my mind looking for something to read. While browsing Amazon I found Relentless and since it was free, I bought it. This is where everyone is going to think I’m an idiot, I couldn’t stand it!!! The second I read the word TROLL I stopped! I thought “Who in the world wants to read about a freaking troll?” Yeah, I know you can roll your eyes now and swear to the heavens because I was an IDIOT!So back on track, a few weeks later I was REALLY bored and decided to just read the darn thing. It couldn’t possibly suck that bad and WOW am I glad I did. This trilogy took such a refreshing and inventive approach. I absolutely adore the character Remy!! In fact he is one of my all-time favorite characters in any series. I would have completely missed out on him if I had not seen past my own prejudice. I devoured Relentless, gobbled up Refuge and sat patiently waiting (more like howling at the moon) for Rouge to come out. Apparently all that howling worked because, OH BOY did Rouge come out!The story evolved exactly as it should have. There were parts of the book that I felt were unresolved but it didn’t matter because the story ultimately is about Sara and Nikolas. I feel like every character had their moment and those who did not…Well, they are EXACTLY where they should be. The story arc carried me right through to the shocking reveal of “WHO THE MASTER WAS”! I could not have laughed more, cried harder, yelled louder or swooned more if I had dreamed it all myself. I’m not going to give away any part of this story, since I feel like that would be robbing you of your journey. I will say that you can’t go wrong with this book. Whatever Mrs. Lynch writes I will be reading!

By Redmommy25 Rogue has been at the top of my "most-anticipated reads of 2015" list since, well, January of 2015. I tore through Relentless and Refuge, then re-read them several times (which I rarely do now that I'm an adult…I don't have time to read much, let alone re-read) in preparation for Rogue.I finished Rogue and all I could think was, Wow. Wow! What an ending to an amazing series. What a fantastic way to wrap up an incredible journey. I love losing myself in the world that Karen Lynch creates. Picking up this book was like reconnecting with old friends, and within a few sentences I had a grin on my face from the characters' trademark witticisms and quirks. Rogue is the perfect conclusion to this series, and isn't one of those books that is just leaving the room open for a spinoff so things aren't done as well as they could have been, as seems the case in many series nowadays. The plot is strong, the action is pretty much nonstop, and the snark is on full display.Sara Grey is one of the best heroines I've read; she is introspective, kind, and loyal. She is far stronger than anyone gives her credit for and she constantly surprises people with that strength, which makes for some very fun situations in Rogue. I loved watching her growth through the series and I couldn't help but feel a sense of pride as she truly came into her own in this book. I also love that Sara always sees the goodness in people underneath their surfaces and she isn't willing to judge someone based on how scary they look or how scary someone else thinks they are. She forms her own opinions and often changes the minds of other characters, too.And Nikolas? Phew. Where do I start with Nikolas? I say start, because I refuse to think of this as the end of my time with Nikolas. He is smart and loyal and frustratingly overprotective, but his growth mirrors Sara's, which makes sense because they couldn't work as a couple if he didn't change, too. It's refreshing to see an alpha male evolve. There are some beautiful, truly tender scenes between Sara and Nikolas in Rogue, and I was thrilled with the outcome of their relationship.I think my favorite parts of Karen's books have always been the supporting characters because, as much as I 'ship Sara and Nikolas – and don't get me wrong, I adore them, they are the best book couple out there, in my opinion – I am over the moon about the other characters (with Desmund and Remy being my favorites!). When they are all together, the grin on my face is just stupid. There were several laugh-out-loud moments in Rogue that stemmed from the supporting cast. It's as if Karen knows that, while Sara and Nikolas are the core of her books, the best material results from the group dynamics, and she doesn't disappoint readers in that sense at all. I hate when authors take an amazing group of characters and disperse them. Why ruin a good thing? And, anytime that Karen introduces a new supporting character, the addition blends seamlessly into the group, as though they have been with us on the entire journey. They are truly a family, supporting one another without question.I'm sad that Rogue is the last book in the series. I actually cried when I finished it because, as much as it was amazing, it was the last book. And it was perfect. I liked it…a lot. (You'll understand that reference after you read the story!)Rogue: 5/5 stars. One of my favorites. Funny, sweet, layered, emotional, grin-inducing, tender, action-packed, and amazing.

By ManicMommy It's not often an author answers all your questions AND gives you a HEA that feels realistic, but Karen manages to do so beautifully with this book. I cried, laughed, and shouted at the imaginary characters like they could hear me as I lost myself in the world Karen created. In the end even though I was satisfied with how the story ended, I was left feeling sad that my journey with these characters is over. I already miss them, and I think that's the tell of an amazing author. The only downside to this book was a few questions left unanswered about supporting characters. However, I know there are companion books coming that will fill in the rest of their stories, and I will be waiting impatiently for them! Hoping to glimpse into their lives just a little bit more.
