By Clairlyn Francis I may be a little bias here, Bryan Jenkins is a friend of mine. I can tell you though this book kept me reading until I was done. If you liked Tennis Shoes Among the Nephites series or Percy Jackson series you will love this book. Bryan gives you a wonderful history of the Amazon while he keeps you glued to figure out who Lex and Jamie can trust. I usually have things figured out way before I get to the end, but not this time! Bryan takes you all the to the end!I was lucky enough to get an advanced copy, thanks, Bryan :)

This book is a fun read for anybody interested in fantasy/mythology/alternative reality type series. I loved the Amazon details. The only caveat I will give is that if you are the person who likes the good guys to be wholly good and the bad guys to be wholly bad, this book may not be for you. Bryan keeps us guessing in every chapter as to who is really the hero/heroine of the book.

In this novel the author skillfully bridges the Amazon women of Greece with the mystical Amazon tribes of Brazil into a new, fascinating adventure story filled with disguise, hidden portals, mystical realms, sinister villains, and heart-wrenching sacrifices. The twists and turns will keep you on your toes all the way to the last page where it wraps up nicely in a very satisfying end. It is very obvious that the author knows Brazil well and has experience with the sights, sounds and customs of the region. It made the book all the more enjoyable. His descriptions of the country, the jungle, and the folklore make you feel like you are really there. Totally enjoyed the read.
