About the Author Dennis Newkirk has served as senior pastor of Henderson Hills Baptist Church, a 5500-member congregation in Edmond, Oklahoma, since 1992. His years in the ministry have given him practical experience in church leadership, preaching, and teaching. He and his wife, Marcia, have three married sons and six grandchildren. Newkirk has also published No gods but God-Confronting Our Modern-Day Idolatry and Glimpses of God's Glory, a book of photographs from his travels intermixed with devotional writings.
