It's a fun book with unique twists and I hope the next one in the series comes out sometime in the near future. Also, it provided a nice platform for some good questions from the kids. I could tell it was thought provoking for them.

Forehand I've ordered and read lots of books from Amazon over the years, yet this is the first time I've felt compelled to write a review. I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to express my sheer satisfaction and pleasure in reading this book. The Warden Watch is one of those hidden treasures that will stand out as a great book not to be forgotten on a dusty book shelf as is the fate of so many other books. It starts out with action and intrigue, is chock-full of it in the middle, and finishes leaving you salivating for the next in the series (which, by the way, I hope is coming soon)! The author has done a fantastic job of not only creating rich and full characters, but in putting you in the middle of the story as if you were there to witness it all unfold. The protagonist is a very likable kid who is witty, intelligent, thoughtful, and is easy to identify with while you follow his adventures. The book has mystery, drama, fantasy, and some major events from the Bible that are intricately and beautifully woven into the story, and there are some great lessons and values to be learned within.Whether you're a kid, young adult, or even "mature", if you enjoy fiction and have even half an imagination, this book will captivate you and demand you keep turning the pages to the very end... and then you'll want more!

I have always been impressed with his writings, but there is something about this one that really grabbed me as a reader and kept me glued to the pages. Also I am looking forward to sharing this book with my children when they get a little older. This story may seem like a strange mash-up, it had Big Foot, Dracula, a young boy who gets caught in a great adventure, angels, demons, and the legacy of Jesus Christ. Casey is a young boy out exploring his back yard when he sees a shadow that does not make sense, using a bit of cunning, and a few ticks he has collected in his bag he ends up catching hold of a Big Foot, only to be whisked away into their realm. But even there things are not always as they appear. This story is tightly written. Casey is an interesting young hero and his Great Great Great … Aunt Myrtle has a story most would not believe. The pace was great and it ends with a killer cliff hanger ending.I do not know how many books Horvath has planned for this series but I can only hope it is a few because this one was a great read!
